In the first week of operations, Lone Star Security was involved in roughly three foot pursuits. After each pursuit, Vail Police Department was called. Lone Star Security was able to scare possible thieves away. After a few weeks, there were no more attempts to rob Costco.

Arabelle, a new development in Vail, also hired Lone Star Security to keep the site safe and secure. Due to the ease of access to the location, there were about three foot pursuits a month. Most of the attempted theft was internal; possible suspects tended to include those who had worked on the site or had intimate knowledge of the site, such as delivery people. When Lone Star Security was onsite, they were able to reduce and eventually eliminate theft.
